学校信息

CIAM-California Institute of Advanced Management is a Non-profit school. The major offered for Day1 CPT is MBA, with a total of 3 professional directions. The program lasts for 2 years and can be completed in 28 months, so it is highly flexible. The course mode is online+hybrid. You come to campus once per semester. In addition to attending on-site campus, you also need to attend 2 zoom classes per semester . CPT is updated once a semester. You cannot work without CPT during term off. The tuition is low, the total tuition is $24,000, and one semester is $4,000. The coursework is simple, the classes are small, and the school teachers and teachers respond promptly.

CIAM was established in 2011 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) and received preliminary approval from the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) in April 2012. CIAM started teaching on July 14, 2012, just one year after its establishment. Received national certification in 2015 and distance education certification in 2018. Received regional accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) in 2018.

CIAM has small class sizes, with a current student-faculty ratio of 13:1.

    • Saturday: 9AM-9PM
    • Sunday: 9AM-2PM
  • CIAM provides meals for onsite students.
    • Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday
    • Breakfast and snacks available on Sundays

 

  • Zero credits, zero fees, zero homework
  • CPT update frequency: updated every semester
  • CPT GPA requirement: Make sure your GPA is above 3.0
  • Term Off means there is no CPT
  •  CPT course selection requirements
    • INT501
      • You can choose up to 3 times, and you can choose it in the first 3 semesters.
    • INT599
      • You can choose up to 3 times, and you can choose it in the next 3 semesters.

If the student has been F1 for more than one year, he or she can obtain CPT by applying in the first semester of enrollment, commonly known as Day One CPT. If it is the first time for a student to apply for F1 visa, he/she needs to study at CIAM for 2 semesters and start applying for CPT in the third semester.

4Official Transcript of Bachelor’s Degree or Higher from An Accredited Institution: If you have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in the U.S., please request an official transcript to be sent directly from the university to the Office of Admissions. If you have competed a bachelor’s degree or higher outside of the U.S., please ensure the following: a.) Obtain an official foreign transcript evaluation. Have the evaluation agency send the official digital copy directly to the Office of Admissions. b.) Meet the English Language Proficiency Requirement. Request the testing agency to send the official score verification to the Office of Admissions.
5Affidavit of Financial Support and I20 Application: If you currently hold an F-1 visa or are seeking to change your status to an F-1 visa, please submit the financial verification for the processing of your I-20. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date.
6Financial Support/Bank Statement: If you currently hold an F-1 visa or are seeking to change your status to an F-1 visa, please submit the financial verification for the processing of your I-20. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and up-to-date. a.) Minimum requirement: $30,618 USD. b.) Additional support for dependents on F-2 status: $4,000 for a spouse and $3,000 for each child. c.) Submit a current bank statement not older than 3 months. d.) Bank statement should be in English. e.) Bank statement only needs to show the total amount (ending balance) in the account. f.) Account holder’s name(s) on the bank statement(s) must match the sponsor’s name(s) on the Affidavit of Financial Support and I20 Application submitted. g.) Applicants may submit more than one bank account, including savings and checking accounts. h.) For U.S. account screenshot(s) and online file downloads are acceptable. i.) For foreign accounts, only certified bank statements are acceptable.
7Statement of Purpose: a.) The objective of the Statement of Purpose (S.O.P.) is to provide applicants with the opportunity to articulate why they are a qualified candidate and a good fit for CIAM. b.) Please ensure to include your name, the term for which you are applying, and specify the concentration you are interested in. c.) The applicant must be the sole writer and submit original work. d.) Applicants have one chance to submit their SOP.
8Non-refundable $75 Application Fee – waived.

To complete 36 credits, all students need to take at least one semester of the 0-credit internship course INT501 or INT599, otherwise they will not be able to graduate normally. Meet school attendance needs. Comprehensive GPA is not less than 3.0

Contact Ada to get the application list -> fill out [Lighthouse CPT]> upload application materials and apply online -> get offer-> pay tuition -> submit tuition recipt to get new i-20 and start applying for cpt-> enroll

Step One: Open Lighthouse- CIAM Independent Application Guide

Step 2: Open the CIAM official website to start the application https://www.ciam.edu/apply-today

Step 3: Fill in personal information and upload required documents for application

Step 4: Pay the application fee and complete the application

Step 5: You can get an offer within a week

Step 6: After getting the offer, start transferring out and transferring in, etc.

Step 7: Register for the CPT internship course (INT501 or INT599)

Step 1: Register for the INT 500 or INT599 internship course

Step 2: Prepare the following two documents and send them to [email protected]; [email protected]  

  • The Internship Application Form
  • Employment Letter (must use the company’s original letterhead and be signed by the student and supervisor)
    • Name and address of employer
    • Job Title and detailed job description
    • Specific employment start date and end date
    • Full-time or Part-time and the number of hours per week
    • Supervisor’s name, title, and contact information

Step 3: CPT application – review takes 2 weeks.

The school provides scholarships of $2000-$3000. The following scholarships are available to all students as well as international students:

  • President’s Scholarship/Women in Leadership Scholarship $3,000 (for female professionals)
